{"id":2995,"date":"2021-10-05T09:15:00","date_gmt":"2021-10-05T09:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/descarboniz.ar\/?post_type=news&#038;p=2995"},"modified":"2022-11-09T15:02:10","modified_gmt":"2022-11-09T15:02:10","slug":"second-decarboost-cop-session-expert-workshop","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/ftdt.cc\/descarbonizar\/events\/second-decarboost-cop-session-expert-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Second DecarBOOST CoP session &#8211; Expert Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Community of Practice on Investment and Climate Expert Workshop focused on &#8220;Financial solutions to catalyse low-carbon investments in Latin America&#8221; co-organized by <a href=\"https:\/\/ccap.org\/\">Center for Clean Air Policy &#8211; CCAP<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.international-climate-initiative.com\/en\/details\/project\/lac-green-finance-facility-16_I_246-2805\">Green Finance Facility &#8211; IDB<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenfinancelac.org\/es\/\">Green Finance LAC &#8211; IDB<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iadb.org\/en\">Interamerican Development Bank \u2013 IDB<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ftdt.cc\/\">Torcuato di Tella Foundation &#8211; FTDT<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ledslac.org\/\">Regional Platform LEDSLAC<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop analysed investment opportunities that can be explored in Latin America to accelerate decarbonisation by strategically leveraging low-carbon financing instruments or schemes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hern\u00e1n Carlino, director of Decarboost Project in Argentina (<a href=\"https:\/\/ftdt.cc\/\">FTDT<\/a>), invited the participants, representatives of the financial and environmental sectors from more than 10 countries, to reflect on the challenges that Latin America faces in generating and adopting financial solutions to catalyse low-carbon investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Work continued in smaller groups, in which different organisations presented a case study. An exchange was then promoted among the participants in order to propose at least two actions or decisions related to the lessons learned from the case, which could be initiated in the short term.
